The Heart of Serving

Out of our overflow of love and worship to God, we commit to serving with the local church. We believe that God loves the local church (Eph. 5:25-27) and that He will use the church to reach people for Jesus and help them grow to be more like Him. We take this charge seriously. It is out of reverence and respect to God that we contribute to the cause of positively affecting someone’s experience in the church. No matter the task, it is our heart to fill the needs of the church in order to lift high the name of Jesus in our own personal worship and as part of The Fellowship body.

We love God, we love His Church and we love His people.

We love God, we love His Church and we love His people.

God is love. And because we love Him, we relentlessly show that same love to others—just like Jesus did.

“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him... Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”  — 1 John 4:9-11

Love fuels our serving. And when that love overflows, we don’t stop short. We serve with persistence, joy, and grace—because that’s how Christ loves us.

We look to Jesus—our Savior and King—who stooped low to wash the feet of even the one who would betray Him. In a culture where this act was reserved for the lowest servant, Jesus modeled what relentless humility looks like.

Serving is not about status. It’s about surrender.

Our heart is to imitate Christ in that same posture—serving one another selflessly, sacrificially, and without hesitation. This is the way of the Kingdom. This is what it means to be relentless.

God is brought glory through our gifts

God is brought glory through our gifts

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10

You’ve been given gifts—specific, God-designed abilities and passions. And those gifts were never meant to be hidden. You are called to steward them relentlessly—not for applause, but for His glory.

Maybe you’re great at making people feel welcome. Maybe you love being behind the scenes. Whatever your gifts are, God gave them to you for a reason—and the Church is a powerful place to use them.

Needs will arise. Opportunities will come. And relentless servants rise to the occasion.
